The accent for "Ve know vats goot for yoo" is of German, not Russian. But that ould require invoking Godwin's Law.

I know, but it's an easily identifiable accent. Everybody identifies immediately.

If Obamacare DOES pass, it will signal the end of the Great Experiment. Then our only hope will be to start over by whatever means necessary.

From the Declaration of Independence: "...when a long train of abuses and usurpations, pursuing invariably the same Object evinces a design to reduce them under absolute Despotism, it is their right, it is their duty, to throw off such Government, and to provide new Guards for their future security."

God, help us, please!

Silverfiddle,
Just coming over to pretty much agree with you, then I saw Joe's apocalyptic reaction.

Dang. It's not a govt takeover, it's not Marxist, it's not heathen.

It's a giveaway to the health insurance industry. More bad legislation in a long line of bad legislation favoring special interest groups.

Liberals acting like Obama has led them from the promised land.IMO the deficit savings is cause they're gonna cut medicare. We're gonna be forced to purchase high premium high deductible bad medical care, and now that the Republicans got their gift-selling insurance across state lines-it's gonna be like Credit Card companies headquartering in North Dakota. Race to the bottom to the state with the worse regulation.

Good for the health insurance industry, good for Obama's legacy. Bad deal for the US public.

Horrible legislation. But Republicans reacting like it's the apocalypse only destroy their credibility and force Democrats to side with this POS legislation.

My two cents worth anyway.

So, what does the future hold? Both sides talk about what will happen and why. The impact with great if this thing passes. I just read an article stating that the caterpillar vice president stated in a letter that this is going to cost his company 100 million dollars. This letter is being passed around by the Republicans. My father retired from caterpillar and is not in the best of health. Also, a great deal of my family can't afford health insurance and probably couldn't get it anyway do to health reasons. I have friends in same boat do to cancer and other diagnosed problems.

There is something to remember that healthcare is busniess and is ran as such. The business is preserving lives but a busniess none the less. If your not in good health then you pay more and get less or don't get anything at all.

Then what do you say to those can't afford insuranceor have poor health. NO because you don't make enough money or you cost to much and we are not going to get our money back before you die.

I see both sides of this issue but hope it ends soon. That way can either screw our country up or tell them to die but do it peacefully.

Yeah, Ron. My Dad's retired from Cat too. I thought about that today. Who knows what will happen to them.

Oso: Good thoughts as always. Stop by Sunday. You may not agree with the all of Sunday's post, but you will like it. It's along the lines you are talking about viz government and corporate cooperation...

This administration needs to go as soon as possible. It is a danger to our Constitution, our freedoms and our nation.

If this passes and is signed by Obama, we ALL MUST fight to get it repealed as quickly as possible.

Oso: I make a mean guacamole, so just bring chips!

Reverend: Question is, if it passes, will a republican majority have the testicular fortitude to repeal it?

I really hope this passes, the doctor's will stop taking medicare patience, county hospitals will be on the rise, doctor's will no longer be self employeed but employees of the goverment like they are in the VA and get paid a wage, panels will be created to determince what is covered and what is not like the health care industry already does.
Small communities will pay for doctor's office building and be employeed by the community. Looks like will be going down the road of socialized medicene. That is what county hospitals and clinics already do. Also, small rural communities already pay for doctor's college and buildings so they can have a doctor.
This is already being done and watch ow things grow.

I'm watching CNN this afternoon. They mentioned the health care reform bill going to vote and the dems expecting the to get majority. They had an image of the Capitol building but it showed no protesters. After that brief statement about health care reform they went onto report an entire story about the British Airways protests in Britain. Then they went onto report an entire story about Oprah and some law suit in another country.

They never made one mention of the protests to the health care reform bill happening at the capitol building.
