What's Wrong With Islam

The Geert Wilders' kangaroo court trial exposes a sad European sickness that is killing their admirable liberalism.  It also reveals why Islam is incompatible with Western Civilization

Islam is incompatible with Western Civilization.

Here is what a "moderate" imam has to say about the Wilders' trial:
Mohamed Rabbae, chairman of the moderate National Moroccan Council, said outside the court that he hoped judges would force Wilders to issue an apology for his past remarks.

"We are not for getting Mr. Wilders in prison. We are for correcting him," he said. (AP Google)

We do not use the coercive power of government to scold people into religious orthodoxy. If your religion is so damned good and truly God's word, it can stand on its own.

Western governments divorced themselves from religious powers centuries ago, declaring a separation of church and state, leaving each to its own sovereign domain, one earthly and one spiritual.  We don't "submit" to Christianity, we worship of our own volition (or not).  We damned sure will not submit to your anti-gay, anti-woman, bigoted ideology.

Europe's Pusillanimous pissing down its collective leg in the face of angry Islam is alarming, disheartening and ultimately destructive to the fundamental freedoms we all hold dear.

To be fair, our European cousins only realized too late that they had let in a ferocious beast, which is now becoming the master.  They cannot throw the beast out; the best they can hope for is to tame it.  But history shows there is no conciliation between Islam and the infidel.  The parasite inevitably destroys the host.  It is not "submit or die," but rather "submit and die."

Europe: Dar Al-Islam

The Archbishop of York, from the pulpit of Westminster Abbey, said the following at the state funeral of Sir Winston Churchill:
Thank God for his leadership in times of peril and for a life richly gifted and lavishly spent.
Thank God, indeed. Now, the old defiance is gone from the empire. Deep in the darkest throes of World War II, Sir Winston reassured the continent...
"It will not be by German hands that the structure of Europe will be rebuilt."
No, here in the 21st Century, it will be Muslim hands that remake the structure of Europe.
This is the way the world ends
Not with a bang but a whimper.

This is because Islam is designed as a form of government. A very hostile and autocratic government.
Please note how many of these Islamic groups 'declare war'. Governments declare war against other governments. Not religions.

This is only one of the major issues that is at the basic cause of the war. A war that is much, much larger than many people understand.

"We are for correcting him," is a very telling statement of what the world is confronted with in respect to Islamic thought.

If you think or act different than Islam, you are wrong and they will take steps to coerce and then eliminate independent thought.

Scott Peck wrote in the book "The Road Less Traveled and Beyond" a very thoughtful concept.

"Thinking is difficult. Thinking is complex. And thinking is- more than anything else- a process, with a course or direction, a lapse of time, and a series of steps or stages that lead to some result. To think well is a laborius, often painstaking process until one becomes accustomed to being "thoughtful."

Europe and the US are now facing the consequences for nonindependent thought. Society got lazy and for who knows how long let someone else do their critical reasoning and went the way of media soundbites and we are gitting bit in the butt now.

Whether deductive or inductive reasoning floats your boat, sound and rational conclusions can be drawn. G-d gave us brains to exercise and make up our minds on our own.

Soooo, I think I do not hate the people of Islam (well there are some, if I really think about it) but I do grossly dislike any institution that constrains or seeks to destroy the freedom of thought.

I kinda like thinkin' differently.

We're still fighting the Crusades, and back in the Dark Ages it was this pope and that pope who took varying lengths and campaigns to keep the Islamic hoardes at bay.

The issue was never settled. And now we pretend that they don't want to kill and enslave all of us 'infidels.'

They do indeed want our destruction. Just ask them.

My first thought on your title got me thinking; Just where do I start?

I will settle for seconding Fredds' comment.

What's wrong with Islam? Um, everything, for starters.

Seriously, if these people want Sharia law and to never hear an opposing opinion to their political religion then they can live in an Islamic country. In the West, we should be free to say whatever we wish. After all, it's not non offensive language that must be protected.

And if they want to 'correct' Wilders? Let them write him a letter. The legal system is not for 'correcting' opinions, forcibly or otherwise.

If they convict him, I hope Wilders seeks asylum here. Of course, considering what we have in the WH I don't think his chances would be very good.

Schools have for decades been trying to remove all religion from the campus for by changing the Christmas break to the winter break and Easter break to spring break etc. They have removed any religious symbols like the ten commandments from classroom.

Now in Cambridge public schools they are going to implement a Muslim holiday.

In the attempt to be "inclusive" they have trampled on their own belief that government funded institutions should not be mixed with religion.

This quote from Marc McGovern, Cambridge school committee member, says it all:

"“At a time when I think the Muslim population is being characterized with a broad brush in a negative way, I think it’s important for us to say we’re not going to do that here,’’ McGovern said."

What he is really saying is that he feels the need as a government employee to attempt to mold societal thinking in the way he deems appropriate.

This is the exact attitude and liberal elitist thinking that the American people are now standing up against. McGovern surely THINKS he is waaaaay smarter than the ordinary Joe and it is his lot in life to "lead the sheep" to the truth...as he sees it.

This is what has the left flummoxed in this election cycle. To them they have done really wonderful things with government to help us and we, the American people, are just too stupid to see it.

What they fail to see is the reality that feel good governmental programs often cause more harm than good and the public has become to smart to fall for it anymore.

Look at the current mantra of "the GOP says it wants to reduce government but they don't say how".

You would not think it hard to find plenty of programs not doing any good for the public to get rid of. Entire departments have been formed that have completely failed to do any good or have outlived any preceived usefulness. With a yearly budget of 3+ trillion dollars I would bet that any of us here could trim at least 1/3. Yet the Dems can't think of anything at all to cut.

One thing is clear though. They really do believe the citizenry to be stupid.

Bingo! Violent ideology meets statist dictators. The middle east is full of such loathesomeness. No need to introduce it here.

And everyone: I purposely didn't put a question mark after the title. It is a statement, not a question.

The Islamification of Europe is ahead by some years of the Islamification of the United States.

But let's not kid ourselves. Islamophilia abounds in America too.
