Here in the real world, we use the cheapest, most efficient resources at hand. Everything in life has consequences and costs. Not using oil and coal would impose a gigantic, job-killing cost on our economy. Unfortunately, Louisiana will bear the brunt of this one, and Uncle Sam better make sure BP picks up the complete tab.

I may wrong, and I know that i will draw a lot of flack for what I am about to say, but of course, while we still have a semblance of a Constitution left, I do have the right to speak my mind, so here it goes:
We all know that liberals are and have been against off shore drilling, and that includes Obama. Then all of a sudden, Obama says he is for Off shore drilling, why, to score brownies points to get his Obamacare passed? Then all of a sudden, the BP off shore drilling rig explodes violently and then sinks, and nobody knows why it exploded. I keep getting a nagging feeling that sabotage may have been involved, to halt any further off shore drilling in our coastal waters, and possibly as a means to Obama the cover he needs to place the entire energy industry under federal control and push his "Cap and Trade".
Like I said, I could be wrong, but if I am not, you can bet it wasn't the Republicans who did it.

Reverend: I'm with you. Eco-terrorism is a possibility I'd like to see explored. Supposedly, for this to happen, every fail-safe mechanism on that rig had to fail, which is highly improbable, from what little I've heard. I'd like to hear more.
