Weekend Wrapup

Our government has been a farce for years, so it was only fitting that the clownish Democrats would invite fictional TV personality Steven Colbert to testify before the ignominious body.

Stink Bugs Invading DC?
We already knew that!  And we're fixin' to vote a whole swarm of them out this November!

Smelly, pesky bugs known as stink bugs have been swarming the Washington, D.C. area -- and when you try to kill them, they just smell worse.
No kidding!  Lisa Murkowski and Charlie Crist come to mind...

Why California Is Broke:
The Governor of California is jogging with his dog along a nature trail. A coyote jumps out, bites the Governor and attacks his dog. The Governor starts to intervene, but reflects upon the movie "Bambi" and then realizes he should stop; the coyote is only doing what is natural. He calls animal control.

Animal Control captures coyote and bills the State $200 testing it for diseases and $500 for relocating it.

He calls a veterinarian. The vet collects the dead dog and bills the State $200 testing it for diseases.

The Governor goes to hospital and spends $3,500 getting checked for diseases from the coyote and on getting his bite wound bandaged.

The Governor spends $50,000 in state funds implementing a "coyote awareness" program for residents of the area.

The State Legislature spends $2 million to study how to better treat rabies and how to permanently eradicate the disease throughout the world.

The Governor's security agent is fired for not stopping the attack somehow and for letting the Governor attempt to intervene. Additional cost to State of California: $75,000 to hire and train a new security agent with additional special coyote training.

PETA protests the coyote's relocation and files suit against the State.

Arizona:
The Governor of Arizona is jogging with her dog along a nature trail. A coyote jumps out and attacks her dog.  The Governor shoots the coyote with her State-issued pistol and keeps jogging.

The Governor has spent $0.50 on a .45 ACP hollow point cartridge.  The Buzzards eat the dead coyote.

And that's why California is broke and Arizona is not.

What on earth did those who invited Colbert to testify hope to discover from his "testimony?" The resulting glut of negative attention could hardly have been a boost to their agenda, so it is reduced to another liberal attempt to manipulate and fool the people. Yet another shining example of liberal ineptitude.

Kill all the coyotes. Muslims. Mexicans. Etc. Etc.

Mission Accomplished!

What a hateful thing to say, Arthur. If this were a liberal blog you would have been banned.

Don't go all sensitive on us Silverfiddle.

John Wayne doesn't love him any sissies.

Sissies? Do the liberal PC speech police know you're over here in Right Blogistan using such language?

Arthurstone said...

I'll tell them if it makes you feel better.

And I'll pass this tidbit along to you.

The "liberal PC speech police" I know are aware of the definition of satire.

sa-tire

-noun

1. the use of irony, sarcasm, ridicule, or the like, in exposing, denouncing, or deriding vice, folly, etc.
2. a literary composition, in verse or prose, in which human folly and vice are held up to scorn, derision, or ridicule.

Another right wing disinformation cartoon strip."
I live in Az. And I can assure you that Az. is broke, broke, broke.

E for effort though.
I guess as long as the right wing keeps repeating the lies. Sooner than later their sheeple will get their shearing.
BTW Brewer has entered the dementia zone.

I have a cousin in Flagstaff.

She and her partner also have a house in LA.

They aren't nearly as embarrassed to tell people they're from California as they are to mention they spend half their time in Arizona.

This is interesting:

I post serious stuff, even stuff that might delight a liberal like Murray Rothbard's criticism of Reagan, and not a peep.

I post an e-mail joke and everybody gets all twisted up.

I won't quibble over liberals who are ashamed of Arizona or what the meaning of "broke" is. I'll just leave you with two links. A tale of two states:

Arizona's budget is balanced

California has a $19 billion deficit

Here are some more real up to date numbers.

Lat one out- turn off the lights.

The fact still remains that Arizona, by law, will balance its budget, and California will still be billions in debt.

Time for people to learn to do more with less and stop looking to the government for everything. Notice they always mention having to fire teachers, but never administrators and bureaucrats.

As one who lives in the D.C. area, I can tell you that this stink bug plague -- the six-legged kind -- is no joke!

Damn critters! My cats won't hunt them down as they do with June bugs.

One of the biggest reasons California is broke is because of all the illegals that they allow into their state, and then subsidize them with free education, free medical and dental, food stamps and housing.

Arthurstone said...

Just what is the actual expenditure by California state government per annum on "...free education, free medical and dental, food stamps and housing..." for 'illegals' Most Reverend?
