Barack Obama actually said this once...

This is an actual quote from President Barack Obama:
But what also made these large deficits possible was the end of a common sense rule called "pay-as-you-go." It's pretty simple. It says to Congress, you have to pay as you go. You can't spend a dollar unless you cut a dollar elsewhere. This is how a responsible family or business manages a budget. And it is how a responsible government manages a budget, as well…. Last night, I signed the "pay-as-you-go" rule into law. Now, Congress will have to pay for what it spends, just like everybody else.

He said it, but you always have to check the expiration date on the back.

All of his stuff expires, you know.

Silver,

My keyboarding was terrible in the first comment so had to clean it up,,,,,

Yes, all liberals have said it; pay-as-you go or 'pay-go'.

The last time was a couple of months ago or so and they enacted a bill to do so.

One week, mind you one week to the day after it was signed into law they brought up a bill to extend unemployment benefits. At that point, I believe it was Tom Coburn (R), objected based on the now pay-go LAW simply asking that they show where and how the money for the extension(s) be paid.

Of course the republicans were called obstructionist's for following a LAW, pay-go enacted by the liberals but one week before

One week, that is an example of Fredds' expiration on this "stuff".

You're right on, Chris. Dems passed it then blithely ignored it, but Republicans were called every name in the book for insisting the law be followed.
