WHEAT RIDGE, Colo. - Admitted thieves are going free, while an elderly Wheat Ridge man is facing the possibility of spending the rest of his life behind bars, all, he says, for trying to defend his property and his life. (Fox 31 - Denver)

Two illegal immigrants (who had been arrested and released various times in Denver) tried to steal an 82 year-old man’s flatbed trailer and he shot one of the slimeballs as they were getting away. What did the Jefferson County DA do? He let the immigrants go and charged the armed citizen with four counts of attempted murder. 

This is no surprise to Coloradans. We are a fairly libertarian state suffering a liberal red rash running from Denver, through the People’s Republic of Boulder and up to Fort Collins.

ICE agents arrested both illegal scumbags and are holding them on a $100,000 bond!  Kudos to local morning talk jock Peter Boyles.  Rumor has it Bill O'Reilly may pick up the story.  All that's left is for Jefferson County DA Scott Storey to climb down and admit what a gross injustice his office has inflicted on the 82 year old Robert Wallace.

That's what the nattering nanny says on the 9 News video.  I say Bull!  Notice the progressive use of "we can't just..."  Who says?  Defending one's property is a natural right of free people.  If more scumbag robbers were shot, there would be less robberies.     

Denver has been a de facto sanctuary city for years

When Governor Bill Ritter was DA, he routinely caught and released illegal immigrant criminals, freeing them up to drive drunk, rape and kill. When confronted with the death and destruction he had caused, he reached for the liberal playbook and blamed “the system.”

Denver Mayor John Hickenlooper, “The Looper,” denies the sanctuary city charge, but ask anyone who lives there, where East Colfax now looks like Little Jalisco. The Looper wants to be our next governor, but the little Howdy Doody got caught gushing over Van Jones like a lovesick teen...

Racial Attacks

Violent racial attacks are occurring... in Alabama?  Arizona?  Whitebread Iowa?  Nope.  In that nut and fruit bowl of diversity, San Francisco.

What are the attacks about?  Angry tea partiers beating and shooting minorities?  Arizona cowboys rounding up Mexicans?  White klansmen and neo-nazi Republicans attacking African Americans?  Nope.

African Americans attacking Asians

Although both groups have suffered discrimination over the decades, the African-American community has been declining here faster than in any other major city, while the Asian-American community has been growing, partly due to immigration.

Oh, that explains it!

Maxwell emphasized race was not a factor in the attacks—the problem was the violence inflicted on a neighborhood.

Race is not a factor...  That's good.  If it were whites beating up Asians or blacks, I'm sure it would have been, but anyway...

When Asian-Americans moved into black neighborhoods like Mrs. Cheng's, it may have created tensions that were exacerbated by economic stresses and deep language and cultural barriers, experts say.

Imagine if the sentence read, "When Mexicans moved into white neighborhoods like Mrs. Whitebread's, it may have created tensions..."  If the victims had been Muslims, this would be a federal case, and Reverend Sharpton's bullhorn brigade would be inflamed with righteous indignation. 

But it's just a bunch of old Chinese women getting beaten and robbed by poor black kids...  Nothing to see here, move along...

Liberals making excuses for the behavior of minority criminals is a form of racism

Crime is crime, regardless of which government-approved category the perpetrator or victim belong to.  Every group has its superstars and bad apples.  It does no one any good to leave the bad apples in the barrel. 

Melik Kaylan points out that tiptoeing around dysfunctions within a culture does no one any good:

As we laud and empower minority cultures for their vibrancy, when do we (or they) get to point out their shortcomings? Here's what happens: the minority culturati blame their flaws entirely on the dominant culture and get a free pass on the flaws within their own tradition.

How insulting to assume that minorities must be coddled and infantilized with ethnic cheerleading as a substitute for knowledge.

Indeed.  And the way you stop crime is to chase down the criminals and lock them up. I guess that's too simple for the social meddlers on the left.

Meanwhile, Obama Voters Continue Killing Innocent Citizens

Lost in all the hootery hoopla, crime in our inner cities continues unabated.

It's bad enough that inner-city poor people have been imprisoned in their own homes and neighborhoods by a liberalism that rewards irresponsible behavior, but they also find themselves victimized by the shoddy schools and rampant criminality that liberalism encourages.

The burst of gunfire, apparently a drive-by shooting, led to a police chase in which four D.C. officers were slightly injured.

Initially, three people were reported killed in the shooting. D.C. police said early Wednesday that a fourth victim had died. Police were still looking for a motive in the shooting, in which at least nine people were hit. (WaPo - Spray of Gunfire)

Ask the people who live in these community organizing cesspools what their definition of terrorism is.   Which has killed more people?  militias, or criminal gangs?

Don't These criminals Know DC has a Gun Ban?

Police sources said an AK-47 assault rifle might have been used. A man who said he was in the area at the time recounted the sounds he heard as "tat, tat, tat, tat, tat, and then boom!"

 And have you noticed since our nation's attention has turned to the 50% of us who are gun clinging, banjo playing redneck righwing Christian racist hatemongers, we are no longer discussing the important political issues facing our nation?
