Paul Krugman is an Intellectually Dishonest Crapweasel

Krugman Distorts, Stossel Clarifies

Nobody is better at distorting economic data for political purposes than liberal Nobel Laureate Paul Krugman.  When Mark Twain spoke his famous "lies, damned lies, and statistics" quote, he anticipated Krugman by 100 years.

Nobody is better at cutting through the BS than John Stossel, and he does it in a brief burst of brilliance,  Krugman Misleads On Greece

How does Krugman mislead?  By dazzling us with a chart comparing deficits as a percentage of GDP.  He soothes us with data showing Obama and the Pelosicrats' spending really isn't that bad and we are not destined to suffer the fate of Greece.

Stossel points out that Debt as a Percentage of GDP is where the danger lies, since it is cumulative.  And he uses Krugman's data to produce a chart that damns to liars' hell Obama, the Democrats, and chief economic propagandist Krugman.  By even the rosiest predictions, we will be where Greece is at by 2020.

Go read Stossel's piece.  It is very short but quite instructive on how liberals will distort data to trick people and avoid facing reality.

Both Krugman and Stossel are Jewish. Well what a shocker. Stossel is no friend of the common man either.

Yeah? So was Jonas Salk and Admiral Rickover. Not to mention Adam Sandler and the Three Stooges. What's your point?

If you want to attack Stossel here, better bring some evidence. Right now you have nothing but an apparent unhealthy fixation.

I'm only pointing out the disproportionately high role jews play in the media, government, financial, and other spheres.

It is a FACT that jews control the mainstream media, international banking, and our government. That's why the media promotes liberalism/communism, the banks prey on the masses with usury keeping us enslaved, and our government is completely corrupt and promoting the communist "new world order" agenda.

So I respectfully and strongly disagree....it's not "unhealthy", "racist", etc to point out these facts.

What amazes me about anyone besides James Taranto (WSJ) when discussing Krugman is the failure to mention even in qoutation marks his affiliation with ENRON.

This alone disqualifies Krugman from any serious discussion as it pertains to sound economic policy, period.

Silverfiddle - Stossel, completely irrespective of his faith and heritage, is presenting the most accurate view of where we are heading.

Debt as a percentage of GDP is by far a more accurate indicator of the fiscal health (or sickness) of the nation.

Good find. I too like Stossel

Good points on the deficit as a percentage to GDP.

It should be noted that since the Kennedy/Johnson Admins, only Democratic Admins have seen the deficit as a percentage of GDP drop during their time in office.

Infuriating as it may be, perhaps, with their track record at reducing this percentage, over almost 50 years, we should give Obama and his party the benefit of the doubt.

Recent history shows us that trusting the GOP to lower this percentage is not going to be effective...

Dave: No use in pointing partisan fingers, that's not the point here.

People smarter than me can also show that administrations reap the fruits of previous ones, but that just muddies the waters and detracts from the real issue:

Government spending more than it takes in. It's a bipartisan travesty. Your statement is basically correct, but it does not follow that Obama should be given the benefit of the doubt.

No politician should ever again be given the benefit of the doubt.

In fact, the data shows that Obama has increased debt to GDP faster and steeper than any president in history.

I have met Mr. Stossel and heard him speak very profoundly about the healthcare bill. He is educated, intelligent and he backed every thing he said with facts.

Cannot say the same for Krugman, not even close.

I would like to know what's in it for Krugman .
Obama would never need to take over to have a state run media because they promote the state now for free.

Krugman is one of those chaps who thinks himself wise, but whose positions and statements reveal him to be sophomoric, instead.

Krugman is a hardcore leftwinger and there is no data he will not distort, not statistic he will not manipulate to defend the failed statist, Keynesian model.

Which is precisely why Zero doesn't give a crap. He'll be way gone by 2020, when we become Greece.
